The Dichotomy of Filth: Pink Flamingos (1972)

John Waters’ infamous cult film, Pink Flamingos, is, as he puts it, “a terrorist act against the tyranny of good taste”. For all of its shocking imagery and seemingly tasteless approach to filmmaking, the film stuck out to me as a beautiful example of fresh, idealistic cinema.
